EC40 and BioC are both chlorhexidine varnishes to effectively combat the cariogenic mutans streptococci. They are based on long term clinical and microbiologycal research. The chlorhexidine concentration in BioC is lower than that of EC40. Therefore BioC is more suitable for the treatment of small children.
