Situated on Claremont Crescent, behind the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, to which it is linked at five levels. The £3.5 million Dental School building was opened by HRH the Duchess of Gloucester on 7th April 1992.

A Dental School and Hospital was opened in Cork in 1913 which, over the years, developed a reputation for the high standards of its courses and service to the public. For many years the Dental School was located on the north side of the city where it was closely linked to the North Infirmary. In 1983 a new Dental Hospital was opened beside the University Hospital in Wilton.

Jointly funded by Leeds University and the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. It provides education for dental undergraduate and postgraduate students and dental auxilliary staff. It also provides routine dental care for patients in support of undergraduate training and also acts as a referral centre for specialist dental care.
