BDHF Mouth Cancer

Sometimes called oral cancer, can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat. Every year in the UK, there are 4,000 new cases identified, and 1,700 deaths. Other countries have similar rates of incidence. The number of new cases is on the rise, but deaths could be reduced if the disease was identified early enough. The main problem is that many people do not visit their dentist for regular check-ups.
